Since I can remember, I have idolized Frida Kahlo. I purchased a hand-made painting of “Two Fridas” measuring 50 x 50 that came from Japan. Further, I bought the books, watched the Frida film, and traveled to Mexico City to visit the museum. This earned me the title of a Frida disciple. Up until I received divine intervention from my creator, which restored my connection with myself. Then, God began working with my character and refining my gifts; This wasn't a church ritual or the ordination of a church leader.
In fact,
it was the grace of God’s spirit that baptized me with self-awareness. As a result, I was separated from the church and led to have an intimate relationship with God. My church did not understand my decision. For taking the leap of faith, I was even called a rebel. When I explained to the pastor that my father wanted me to separate, he deemed me a radical. However, God assured me that I had to step into the wilderness for a while in order to cut off the dead branches. By listening to the spirit, I embarked on a journey to meet the I AM instead of another Frida.
A creative expression of Frida Kahlo’s inner struggles is evident in her art. She infused her works with a powerful energy; It has rooted itself in countless homes. While honoring this craftsmanship in my house, an intense and depressing atmosphere pervaded the interior. The importance of creating a spiritual balance inside your temple was apparent to me once I became aware of myself. During that time, I remember being guided by the Holy Spirit to get rid of everything in my house that was unpleasing to God. Peace was restored after the interior cleanse, leaving no room for idolatry. Everything that enters my home is carefully selected.
A statue, image, or article that resembles Jesus look-alike does not belong in my house. I believe in devotion in spirit and truth.
As a result of this awakening, I was able to focus on who God made me to be; my identity, my gifts, and my life’s purpose. Frida Kahlo had impressive talents, and her art served her purpose on this earth. Yet, I have a seed inside of me that needs to be sparked so that I may walk my path and serve humanity. As long as my focus remained on external gratification, the internal would have suffered. There was only one Frida, and she served her purpose. The time has come for you to discover who you were born to be by embarking on your own personal journey. Sow your divinely crafted seeds into the soil of your life’s purpose, and serve humanity as the true you, instead of another Frida.
