In the middle of the art filled UNESCO city of Santo Domingo, there is a boutique style museum offering both ancestral and contemporary artwork of Fernando Peña Defillo. He was born in Dominican Republic in 1926. Traveling the countryside of Dominican Republic helped him depict the lushness, hills, and rawness of the island in his paintings.

Beside the collectible artwork, the architectural details of the gallery space is a visual memoir of the island interior design. Among the architectural features of the building is the ancestral tile work that is well maintained, and the lushness of the outside balcony is a testament to island beauty.

The Dominican Republic’s antique treasures can be found here in this place. The shop sectional collection tells many stories about people who once owned these items. Here you can find old photos of families, friends, history, stamps, and many items marked with ancestral roots. As you enter the space you are welcome with the patrichal and matrichal  colors of the Dominican flag. There are items of ancestral blueprints buried in the ashes of the memorial chaos. This place welcomes people looking for traces of the Dominican Republic’s ancestral eras.
